Went for breakfast with Melody & Meryl

Great catching up, love me girlfrnds (:

Bumped into Cornelius & Caleb there too.
So many church people there! Strange.
But anyway I had my caramel hot chocolate!
Starbucks is so lovely (:

Sermon was about Judas
& he isn’t as bad as I think he is.

Then lunched @ Manhattan Fish Market
with Meryl, Andrew & Cornelius (:

It’s such a chore to get up

Back from Grace Retreat 2008 (:

This is the very first retreat I’ve attended in my entire life and I must say it was a fantabulous experience! (A big thank you to those who persuaded me to go) I’m really glad I went for it in the end and all. And like even though I had some regrets before I left Singapore and like all the outings that I’ve missed throughout this week, but I felt that the retreat was really all worth it. (:

Let me try ‘ta give you all the highlights in a chronological order!

Day 1; 9 June 2008

• Left for Singapore and the coach took forever to reach Hotel Equatorial – apparently the bus driver got us all lost thanks to the tour guide and they were squabbling in hokkein!
• We had a new roomie, Cheryl, who is really really nice! And she was previously from MGS too! Cool shits. And and, Justine will get her refund of $190. Good, very nice!
• Before our new roomie entered our room, Meryl & I camwhored a hell load – like, seriously! Especially in the bathroom. Teehee. Majority of the photos are with her though. So gotta wait for her to upload, which would probably take forever. Be patient, it’s a virtue!

• Combined service was quite boring (I don’t know why, but it always seems that way?)
• Had supper with alot of people from C5. Most of them are kinda alien to me, but I was happy with my calamari and milo dinosaur (:

• Slept around 2-3am I think? Can’t really remember. Ohwells.

Day 2; 10 June 2008

• Meryl & I woke up slightly late – instead of 7am, we only got up at 7.30am and we had to have breakfast and report by 8.30am!
• We bumped into kenneth in the lift who told us that the game is already starting and that we were late so we can’t afford to have breakfast anymore yadayada before we went separate ways, but we still did anyway and then he saw us eating at the table. HAHA
• We wore the same “outfit” that day too! (You know, you don’t see me in tee+shorts very often)

• Tried the LIFEgame which I found interesting initially, but it got boring after awhile when the whole cycle repeats itself, just in another phase. But I really love the learning outcomes at the end of it (:
• KFC came over to our room for supper and I can’t remember how long they stayed for, but I remember that Cornelius only came at like 2am after the girls left. So the three of us (Meryl, Lester & Yours Truly) camwhored for awhile.

• Cheryl came back late too! And the five of us chatted until about 4am. And Lester was so tired that he slept on our bed by 4am so we “kicked” him down to the mattress but his snorts/snores woke Meryl up at 5am. She tried to wake me up so that I can hear it too, but I couldn’t get up. Damn!

Day 3; 11 June 2008

• Meryl & I overslept – only got up at 10.30am when Cheryl was told to wake us up by someone, when we were supposed to report by 8.30am again! I think we were really tired because we set 2 alarm clocks in the room and like, we had alot of phone calls trying to wake us up, someone coming up to our room to ring our doorbells, yet we couldn’t hear a thing I swear! Goodness.
• Played the LIFEgame yet again (For 3 consecutive days, OMG!) and went over to Julie & Charlyn’s room during the break. Ordered mocktails and wedges. We sure know how to enjoy food in life (:
• KFC came over to our (Meryl & I) room again for supper. This time Lester bought prata back! So yay, I had my banana prata! (: A pity there is no cheese prata, but ohwells, be grateful!

• Great fellowship, great fun until 2-3am! I hope KFC grows even more united than it is now and that we will all be pleasing in God’s eyes (:

Day 4; 12 June 2008

• Meryl & I woke up late as usual – so terrible, I know!
• Closed the LIFEgame and it was really good. But I’m still feeling kinda puzzled over something. Ack. And thank you Nat for praying for us (:
• Skipped night sermon and went shopping – guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty. I know we shouldn’t have given in to temptation. But the program was seriously so packed from 8.30am to 11pm that we barely had much free time throughout the entire journey! And urgh, we shopped. I’m sorry. :(

Day 5; 13 June 2008

• Rushed to the mall again to collect the keychains we purchased the night before and ate a really quick lunch just to shop during our 1 hour break! Heh heh.
• A tranny served me at the counter and I freaked out. I don’t like trannies. I don’t mind gays, but just not trannies. It’s just pure sick.
• Home sweet home!
• Joey said “I’m glad to see you more often in church and during this retreat, compared to the first time when I met you after your o’levels when you weren’t very open to coming to church” and I was really very encouraged, thank you. I think the passion which I lost a month ago is back again. Thank God for it! I’m really glad to see the changes in my life too. Next change: No more vulgarity? (:

Now I’m gonna go sleep.
